An informational conference will be conducted on March 12, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., at the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, 41 North Perry Street, Lower Level Training Room. A site tour will follow. All potential interested parties are requested to attend this conference.
The Montgomery County Common Pleas Court at 41 N. Perry Street, built in 1964/1965 with 135,163 sf and the Dayton Montgomery County Courts Building at 301 W. Third Street, built in 1989 with 101,914 sf are connected by an enclosed glass breezeway. The purpose of this project is to correct and improve security for both buildings. The physical constraints of the structures, the circulation paths for staff, public visitors and incarcerated defendants and the open parking lot for Judges result in security deficiencies inconsistent with Best Practices for Court Building Security. Another purpose of this Project is to improve security for the Juvenile Justice Center at 380 W. Second Street, completed in 2008 with 210,000 sf. Recommend security improvements for this facility including the Juvenile Court Command Center, camera placement, intrusion alarm and additional items.
Qualifications shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as “Montgomery County Courts Security Project” and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS on the envelope.
BY ORDER OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OHIO:
Tyler Small, Purchasing Director
