- NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received in the Purchasing Department, Ninth Floor, County Administration Building, 451 West Third Street, P.O. Box 972, Dayton, Ohio 45422-1260, until 1:30 PM, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 2013 for the WATCHMAN AND GUARD SERVICES FOR THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY ENGINEER'S OPERATIONS DIVISION, JOB #13-07. Said bids will be opened as soon thereafter as the opening can begin in the Purchasing Department, 9th Floor, County Administration Building. Performance of all work incident thereto in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Pursuant to Section 153.54, et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code, the Bidder shall submit a BID GUARANTY in the form of either:
a) A bond for the full amount of the bid, conditioned that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder after the awarding or the recommendation for awarding the contract, will enter into a proper contract based upon the bid; (FAXED COPIES ARE UNACCEPTABLE); or,
b) A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, Ohio Revised Code, in the amount of TEN PERCENT (10%) of the bid. If a TEN PERCENT (10%) GUARANTY is submitted, provided that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will, after the awarding or recommendation for awarding the contract, enter into a proper contract, and indemnify the County against all damage suffered by failure to perform the contract by supplying a performance bond in accordance with Section 153.54(2), et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code for the FULL AMOUNT OF THE CONTRACT. (FAXED COPIES ARE UNACCEPTABLE).
Proposal blanks, plans, and specifications are on file and may be secured from the Office of the County Engineer (8th Floor, Montgomery County Administration Building, 451 West Third Street, P.O. Box 972, Dayton, Ohio 45422-1260) IN PERSON from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM during work days for a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE OF $0.00 PER SET. Payment shall be made preferably by company check payable to the MONTGOMERY COUNTY ENGINEER. Said bids shall be on a Unit Price Basis and shall be in writing on Proposal Blanks furnished by the County Engineer.
Domestic steel use requirements as specified in Section 153.011 of the Revised Code apply to this project. Copies of Section 153.011 of the Revised Code can be obtained from any of the offices of the Department of Administrative Services.
OHIO PRODUCTS: The Contractor and all subcontractors are encouraged to use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in connection with this project.
