  • LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT Sealed bids will be received at the Ritchey Administration Center located at 5450 Salem Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45426 until 3:00 p.m. EST on May 11, 2012, for Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services Multi-Site Parking Lot Re-Surfacing Project. Said bids will be opened by the Buildings and Grounds Director as soon thereafter in Conference Room 1A at the Ritchey Administration Center. Drawings and Specifications are available at BlueServ Reprographics, 3335 Seajay Dr., Beavercreek, Ohio, (937) 426-6410, www.blueservrepro.com. The Owner will provide one set of documents for each contractor, additional sets may be purchased at the contractor’s expense. Pursuant to Section 153.54 et. seq., of the Ohio Revised Code, the bidder shall submit a BID GUARANTY in the form of either: a) A bond for the full amount of the bid; or b) A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, Ohio Revised Code, in the amount of TEN PER CENT (10%) of the bid. The successful vendor must replace the ten percent (10%) bid bond with a one-hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond upon award of the bid. Contractors are encouraged to visit all the facility sites. All potential shall pay particular attention to the following provisions: a) The bidder shall examine the plans and specifications prior to their site visit and be ready to raise questions concerning any unclear matter in the bidding process. b) The bidder recognizes that the purpose of the site visits are to resolve ambiguities, inconsistencies, errors or omissions in the contract documents, and interpretations thereof shall be made with a preference to the accomplishment of the purpose of the contract, without additional cost to the Board. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as “Parking Lot Re-Surfacing” and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of the bidder on the envelope. The county commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity of bids, should same be to the advantage of the county.
