- PUBLIC NOTICE
A civil complaint, United States v. Union Federal Bank Account #*****1237, Case No. 3:06CV0176, seeking forfeiture pursuant to 18 U.S.C §981(a)(1)(C), was filed on June 13, 2006 in the United States District Court. The complaint alleges that the property named as the Defendant, may, for the causes stated in the complaint, be forfeited to the United States. The Defendant is Union Federal Bank Account #*****1237. In order to avoid forfeiture of the property, any person claiming an interest in the property must file a verified "Statement of Interest", also called a "Claim" in accordance with 18 U.S.C. §981(a)(1)(C) of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Maritime Claims, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, within 30 days after service of the complaint or the date of final publication of this notice, whichever is earlier. In addition, you must file an answer to the complaint not later than 20 days after filing the Claim. Claims should be filed with the Office of the Clerk, United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Western Division, at 712 Federal Building, 200 West Second Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402, with a copy thereof sent to Gregory Lockhart, United States Attorney at 602 Federal Building, 200 West Second Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402. The Claim must be verified on oath and must state the interest in the property by virtue of which the claimant demands its restitution and the right to defend this action.
