Ohioâ€™s utility consumer advocate reacts to state approval of SBC-AT&T merger
COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 4, 2005 – Today, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) approved the merger between SBC and AT&T. The Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC), the residential utility consumer advocate, believes that the mergers, as proposed, are not in the public interest and fail to provide benefits to residential consumers.
