Representatives say revised bill would modernize Ohio's election process

A companion bill to a Senate measure that would revise the state's election law is gaining movement in a House committee. House Bill 194, sponsored by Rep. Robert Mecklenborg, R-Cincinnati, and Rep. Lou Blessing, R-Cincinnati, has been amended since its initial introduction to include provisions that are proposed in Senate Bill 148. That measure, sponsored by Sen. Mark Wagoner, R-Toledo, features recommendations made by Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted.
