Legislation would target shady athletic agents, boosters

Rep. Dan Dodd has drafted a bill designed to crack down on
illegal benefits to athletes and boosters. The legislation, House Bill 596,
recently was introduced into the Ohio General Assembly and would expand the
right of an institution of higher education to bring civil action for damages
caused by violations of athletic association or conference regulations.
