Experts to brainstorm how to lessen negative effect of family law proceedings on children and families
(Chicago, IL) Recognizing that adversarial legal proceedings
often have a devastating impact upon children and families involved in
contentious cases, a distinguished group of more than 60 lawyers,
academics, mental health professionals, mediators and financial experts
meet at the University of Baltimore to brainstorm about better ways to
family law matters. The June 24-25 Families Matter Symposium is a joint
of the American Bar Association Section of Family Law and the University
Baltimore’s Center for Families, Children and the Courts. It will launch
multi-year initiative to improve family law processes.
