Legislation would ensure full implementation of Ohio's Issue 2 livestock standards

Legislation was introduced last week in the Ohio General Assembly to enforce Ohio's Issue 2 - a ballot measure to establish fair, uniform standards for the humane treatment of the state's livestock and poultry - which was passed by voters in November 2009. Similar rules have been adopted in Colorado, Michigan, Maine and Oregon.
