Some government officials say land banks could lessen sting of foreclosure crisis

Cuyahoga County Treasurer Jim Rokakis wants Ohio lawmakers to know that Ohio's county treasurers can help mitigate the foreclosure crisis. Rokakis spearheaded the creation of legislation, introduced late last week, to allow counties to generate revenue by improving foreclosed properties under the auspices of newly-created land authorities.
