Mortgage servicers helping thousands of troubled borrowers keep their homes

HOPE NOW announced last week that its 27 mortgage service members helped nearly 170,000 homeowners nationwide get loan â€œworkoutsâ€ in May. And if that monthly rate continued through June, the organization will have helped about 519,000 homeowners during Second Quarter 2008 - the largest number of workouts in any quarter since HOPE NOW began tracking them in July 2007.
