Homestead Checks in the Mail
(Toledo)-Larry A. Kaczala, Lucas County Auditor, announced that his office mailed approximately 550 checks totaling $124,779.88 to newly qualified Homestead applicants. These refund checks were mailed to homeowners who would have qualified last year for the Homestead credit, but they missed the filing deadline. The refund checks are part of an annual program designed to give tax breaks to seniors and disabled citizens who meet certain eligibility requirements.
