Ohio’s public universities add $42 billion annually to Ohio’s economy

An economic impact study conducted for the Inter-University Council of Ohio (IUC) found that the state’s public universities, their students and their statewide alumni added $42 billion in income to Ohio’s economy in 2016-17. That represents 6.7 percent of Ohio’s total gross state product. Wright State University adds $1.5 billion annually to Raider Country economy.
