A reflection on a deadly summer

How can African-American men stay cool, calm, and collected when they are constantly being killed by white law enforcement officers? The list continues with the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castille, July 5 and 6th. These killings are just another piece of racial disharmony in America. When I think of how blacks were brought over on slaves ships, hearing stories of black bodies hanging from trees in the south, Martin L. King’s assassination, Emmett Till’s gruesome death, little black girls bombed in church, Medgar Evers death, should we stay calm?
