Cognizance, survival not pertinent to loss-of-limb compensation, court rules

On Wednesday, the Ohio Supreme Court held that when a worker is rendered quadriplegic by a workplace accident and dies shortly after, without regaining consciousness, his spouse still is entitled to loss-of-limb benefits under Ohio's workers' compensation law.
