Advisory opinion allows a prosecutor's private firm to represent criminal defendants

After revisiting an opinion from 1988, the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline recently issued an advisory opinion stating that elected county prosecutors and assistant prosecutors may have private law practices but may not represent criminal defendants through that practice.
