Legal Fellow Focuses on Urgent Issues Facing Immigrant Communities in Dayton
Columbus, OHâ€”The Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation (â€œthe Foundationâ€) today announced the 2013 Class of Equal Justice Works Fellows. Through the fellowship program, seven outstanding law school graduates will focus on urgent issues facing individuals and families throughout Ohio. One of the fellows, Kathleen Kersh, will be working with Advocates for Basic Legal Equality to promote trust between immigrant communities and law enforcement in Dayton by creating immigrant-friendly policing policies, conducting outreach to immigrant communities and providing direct legal representation to immigrant victims of crime and exploitation.
